So, it’s been awhile. A Bad Thing happened a little over a week ago, and it hasn’t been fully resolved yet. Don’t worry, though, it didn’t involve physical injury. Any negative impact the Bad Thing might have had on my mental health is more than offset by the Good Thing I have going. And the Good Thing is absolutely wonderful.

I grew up in Chicago and I never once caught a sunrise over Lake Michigan until Sunday morning. It was incredibly beautiful…and incredibly worth staying up for.
